The Beth Custer Ensemble performs in clubs, theatres, performance spaces, museums, and concert halls. Culling from Custer's rich repertoire, BCE integrates songs from recent projects including soundtracks for Melinda Stone's 'Trip Down Market Street,' Joe Goode Performance Group's 'Hometown,' silent films 'My Grandmother' and 'A Glimpse of Soviet Science,' as well as tunes from BC Ensemble's 2005 underground hit CD 'Respect As A Religion' and gems from past projects including trip hop influenced Eighty Mile Beach and rock-n-español tinged Doña Luz 30 Besos.

The Beth Custer Ensemble is a veritable crème de la crème of Bay Area musicians including long time collaborator Jan Jackson on drums, (Will Bernard's Motherbug), guitarist David James (Sila, The Coup, Spearhead) iconic pianist Graham Connah, and New Yorker transplant bassist Mark Calderon (The Meters, Roots). The Beth Custer Ensemble is a great addition to any jazz or alternative festival or concert series.
